Brandon "Shimmy" Shimkus
Owner, Operator, System Tech
"I come from a non musical background, but was always around EDM events starting around Jan of 2017. I had a passion for thick bass and getting to know my community and meeting new people. EDM has always given me an outlet to really get to know myself, something I was never good at. I went to Purdue University for many types of Engineering but never found my passion. In my Super Senior year I decided to dropout and pursue my own business, owning an operating my very own HSD Rig. The idea came from watching Ronin in Chicago expand and be super successful, especially at Wakaan Fest 2019. I ordered the system on New Years 2021 and moved down to Florida the following February. I had no idea what I was doing, had no idea how to even work the system, I just knew this is what I was meant to do. To date I have learned a lot with the help of those around me and am very grateful of where I am today. I am almost on my 4th year of owning the system and every event we operate gets smoother and smoother! I have a great team behind me and I am appreciative of all their hard work in helping me accomplish my dreams!"
Jackson Kennedy
System Tech / Business Operations
Jackson is my oldest friend. We used to hang out in Middle school and have always been Bass Fishing buddies. He has always been by my side in all aspects of my life. He used to live in Chicago and trained on Ronin's HSD sound system. He is a fast learner, problem solver, and attentive person. He is also going to be my Best Man at my wedding. His passion for music started with his Father's love for the Grateful dead, and over the years has transitioned into EDM. He is a true gem of an employee and an even better friend!
Chandler Willits aka Chasm
Audio Engineer & Dublorde
I (Brandon) met Chandler in Fort Myers, FL at a small Wub Wedneday event held by the local scene. Right off the bat we got along well and knew Chandler was interested in getting into the EDM scene. I told him about my HSD rig and he was immediately ready to help. He would take off work and help me set up and operate the system. Chandler had the background in Sound that i was looking for, that being years of production experience and classically trained ears. His favorite Genre is 140/Deep Dub and produces music under the name Chasm. He was my first employee and to this day focuses more on audio engineering. Chandler loves what he does and it shows.
Bella DeMont
Audio Engineer
Bella is our newest hire, but no doubt she's up to the job. She used to come to events and just watch the production teams work and ask questions. She is a go-getter, forward thinker, and organized individual. She is Powersoft certified, excellent with Smaart V9, and very capable on a mixing console. Her understanding of the system as a whole is impressive considering how new she is to the field. She kicks ass, takes names, and always able to roll through the punches of the evening. We are very proud to have her on the team!
Joseph "Big Pescado" Conner
Bookings & Logistics
Joseph was one of my best friends at Purdue where I met him. In the early days of me going out to events and partying, he was always right there with me. We would kickback, chill out, and think about what we wanted to do in the future. We knew we both wanted to be Entrepreneurs and had the idea of a company called "Big Chillin" but didn't know what it would be. He attended Wakaan 2019 with me and that's when we knew what it would become, and audio company. Once I (Brandon) decided to stop attending Purdue and move, Joseph stayed in Indiana for his Job. After about a year of working the HSD rig with Chandler, I convinced Joe to quit his job and join me in Florida, so we could reunite once again! He didn't Hesitate. Now he helps me manage Big Chillin and plan our future scaling and endeavors. The man is hardworking, dedicated, and ready to start Chapter 2!
